The role will focus on the development, maintenance and optimisation of operational process straddling concepts of long term insurance, short term insurance and offshore reinsurance solutions with significant focus on cell captive arrangements, binder arrangements and structured annuity arrangements. The position requires extensive professional acumen and the ability to manage multiple functions across different entities (both external and internal).

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for designing, improving and implementing the operational process systems.
• Plan and execute for the short, medium and long term horizons of key projects.
• Ensure proper management of cell including establishment and monitoring of items such as solvency, tax, VAT etc.
• Monitor and evaluate financial reporting (GAAP) GL, accounting & reconciliations.
• Ensure smooth conduct of statutory and internal audits.
• Prioritise short, medium and long term process and development objectives, interface with IT and process development activities of different licenses.
• Compliance with IFRS reporting standards.
• Overall financial oversight and monitoring.

Qualifications and Experience

• Chartered Accountant
• Minimum 5 - 7 Years post qualification financial services experience.
• Broad understanding of a business environment, with insurance and cell insurance experience a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to get more deeply involved in business operations including the traditional finance processes.
• Computer proficiency (Windows) and strong working knowledge of Excel is essential.
• SAP experience would be advantageous.
